Damn Am Mini Mega at Woodward
I am not good with words so I’ll keep it simple. It was beautiful sunny day in Pleasant Valley,PA. Woodward hosted a Mini Mega contest that brought out 22 competitors, the majority of which were under 16. They flew in from as far as Australia and Germany. The Mini Mega is 18′ there is 2 feet of vert on 16 foot trannies. Here is my photo gallery of the event.
Big thanks to Woodward, Skate Park of Tampa, and Circa, Independent, Santa Cruz, and Bones for their sponsorship. Huge thanks to Neal Hendrix and Paul Zizter for keeping Vert alive by cultivating the next crops. Look for all of these young rippers to do big things in the future.
Also Woodward never really shuts down. You are never to old or young to have a stay in Pleasant Valley. You can come in the fall/winter to skate the vert ramps. Check the website for availability to stay at the Lodge and get use of the facilities. We have done it in the past and brought our sons for a great experience.
Elliot Sloan from NYC is hosting a clinic at Woodward for any rippers who want to progress on the Mini Mega. Space is still available but going fast. Contact Woodward for more info.
